SPM: Sonar Pole Mount
The Sonar Pole Mount (SPM) was designed for first responders to reduce response and search times. Made of durable high tech plastics and lightweight carbon fibre the SPM is easy to transport and can quickly be deployed dockside or from a craft of opportunity. Once deployed the SPM provides the operator with a clear view of what would normally be hidden beneath the surface using a forward looking imaging sonar which is unaffected by turbidity.
The SPM runs on Shark Marine’s field proven DiveLog software installed on a laptop, Shark Marine’s SeaSAR topside, or the Navigator diver held sonar imaging and navigation system. DiveLog provides an easy to operate interface for the Imaging Sonar as well as navigation, route planning, target management, coverage mapping and report generation. The optional Heading, pitch and roll (HPR) sensor and Altimeter sonar allows the image to be fully geo referenced. This allows the operator to see at a glance the target's exact location, depth and also allows DiveLog to map the sonar's coverage assuring the operator that the entire search area has been checked.
Features:
Rapidly Deployed Sonar Imaging System
Portable and easily operated from docks or small watercraft
Reduces response and search times
Optional Heading, Pitch, and Roll Sensor (HPR) and Altimeter for calculating target position, depth and coverage mapping.
